Culinary Uses: Rue does have a culinary use if used sparingly. Very small amounts are added to salads, cheese, egg and fish dishes.
Medicinal Uses: Rue is used in small amounts to expel poisons from the system, such as those from snake bites, scorpion, spider, or jellyfish bites. It is used internally and externally as a remedy for tendonitis and to strengthen weak capillaries.
Precautions and Adverse Reactions: All parts of this plant are poisonous in large quantities. Rue should not be used during pregnancy or by persons taking blood thinning agents.
