Description:
Parsley is a hardy biennial plant, belonging to the Umbelliferae (Apiaceae) family. It grows from a single spindle shaped taproot, producing many branched smooth and juicy stems. The bright green leaves are feather like with serrated or toothed edges. Rich in chlorophyll content, Parsley Leaf is eaten after dining to remove onion and garlic odors.

Culinary Uses:
Parsley Leaf Flakes can be used as a flavouring to sauces, soups, stews, stuffings, rissoles, minces, egg dishes, fish, dips, potatoes, tomatoes, and also sprinkled over vegetables or salads. Add directly to your favorite dishes or reconstitute it first by soaking in ice water for 5 to 10 minutes.
To make a tea, pour 1 cup water that has stopped boiling over 1 teaspoon of Parsley Leaf Flakes, cover and steep 20 minutes.

Medicinal Uses:
Parsley is valued as a blood builder, cleanser and has pressure regulating properties. If helps to clear congestion due to colds and is soothing for asthma. Parsley is a mild aphrodisiac, as well as a cancer preventative. It helps hypertension due to its diuretic properties. The high chlorophyll content facilitates utilization of oxygen. The volatile oil increases circulation to the digestive tract.
