Description:
Bitter Orange Peel, also called Curacao Orange Peel, is the thick outer peel of the fruit of Bitter Orange tree. It is an evergreen tree, belonging to the Rutaceae family. The orange from this tree is actually green, and not ripened to orange, before it is picked and the spongy white pulp (albedo) layer of the peel is removed before drying.
