Description:
Motherwort is a strong smelling perennial herb, belonging to the Labiateae (Lamiaceae) family. It has a stout stem that is sparingly hairy, with rough, coarsely toothed dark green leaves, and flowers that are arranged in whorls of pale purple lip shaped blossoms. The leaves and flowering tops have an aromatic odor.
