Culinary Uses: The plant is an ingredient of the drink Vermouth. To make a tea, pour 1 cup boiling water over 2 teaspoons of Lungwort leaf, cover and steep 3-5 minutes.
Medicinal Uses: Lungwort is useful in the treatment of chest conditions, coughs, and bronchitis. It is lso used in the treatment of diarrhea, especially in children. Lungwort also helps with easing hemorrhoids. Externally, Lungwort may be used to heal cuts and wounds.
Precautions and Adverse Reactions: For external use only. Do not apply to broken or abraded skin. Not to be used during pregnancy or while nursing. Avoid excessive or long-term use.
