Description:
Linden is a deciduous perennial tree belonging to the Tiliaceae family. It has bark that is fissured, gray-brown and its smooth branches, which spread out at the bottom, bear heart-shaped leaves that are dark green above and paler below. It has an abundance of small, fragrant, yellowish-white flowers that hang from slender stalks in flattened clusters.

Culinary Uses:
Honey made from the Linden Flowers is considered to be one of the best types of honey. Linden is also used in liqueurs.
To make a tea, pour 1 cup boiling water over 2 teaspoon of Linden Leaf & Flowers, cover and steep 3-5 minutes.

Medicinal Uses:
The tea is considered useful in treating colds, influenza, and sore throats. It is also used to relieve mild bladder and kidney problems. Linden tea is said to be good for the skin, helping to keep freckles and wrinkles from appearing. It is also supposed to stimulate hair growth, calm the nerves, promote sleep, help heal blood vessel walls.
