Description:
Hydrangea is a bush belonging to the Saxifragaceae family. It has creamy white flowers and roots of various lengths and thickness that are pale gray on the outside with a solid and a slightly splintery inside. Its bark is rough and tends to peel off with each layer being a different color.

Culinary Uses:
To make a tea, pour 1 cup boiling water over 1 teaspoon of Hydrangea root, cover and steep 3-5 minutes.

Medicinal Uses:
Hydrangea is known to strengthen the urinary tract and help regulate its function. It is also a natural inflammation reliever and cleanses the joint areas and soothes irritated mucus membranes. It helps relieve backache pain due to kidney problems.

Precautions and Adverse Reactions:
Hydrangea should be used with caution. Avoid excessive or long-term use.
