Description:
Hibiscus, known as Roselle, is an erect perennial shrub belonging to the Malvaceae family. It is bushy shrub that is branched from the base with reddish stems and large yellow-red flowers with a dark red eye.

Culinary Uses:
Hibiscus is used in jams, chutneys, curries, liqueurs, wines and natural food colorings.
To make a tea, steep 1 teaspoon of dried Hibiscus Flowers in 1 cup of boiling water for 3 - 5 minutes.

Medicinal Uses:
Hibiscus tea alleviates Muscle Cramps. It is a mild antibacterial with soothing properties.

Precautions and Adverse Reactions:
Avoid giving Hibiscus Flowers to a person who is very chilled.
