Description:
Feverfew is a bushy and herbaceous perennial, belonging to the Compositae (Asteraceae) family. It grows from a branched and tapering root to produce erect and slightly grooved and many-branched stem. It has yellow-green feathery and aromatic leaves that are arranged alternately along the length of the stem. The flowers are arranged in flat-topped clusters and they have yellow centers surrounded by creamy white petals.

Culinary Uses:
To make a tea, add 1/2 teaspoon of Feverfew Herb to a tea infuser and place in a tea cup. Pour boiling water over infuser, cover and steep for 3-5 minutes

Medicinal Uses:
Feverfew is used to treat colds, fevers, flu, and digestive problems. It is often used to end migraines and other headaches, and muscular tension.

Precautions and Adverse Reactions:
Feverfew should be avoided during pregnancy or if on blood thinning medications, as it can affect the rate of blood clotting. Avoid using Feverfew herb if you are allergic to plants from the Asteraceae (Compositae) family such as daisies, chrysanthemum, marigolds or artichokes.
