Echinacea Purpurea is larger then the other Echinaceas.

Culinary Uses: To make a tea, add 1/2 teaspoon of Echinacea Purpurea Root to a tea infuser and place in a tea cup. Pour boiling water over infuser, cover, and steep for 3-5 minutes.
Medicinal Uses: Internaly, Echinacea strengthens the immune system, and stimulates T cell production, macrophage activity, interferon production and inhibits hyaluronidase, thus making cells less susceptable to viral takeover. It helps regenerate cells that have been damaged. It also helps internal gangrene, exhibits some anti-tumor activity, and dilates the peripheral blood vessels. Externaly, echinacea is used for eczema, gangrene, gingivitis, infection, insect bites, psoriasis, pyorrhea, snakebites, toothache, and wounds.
