Description:
Dill is a herbaceous short-lived annual herb belonging to the Umbelliferae (Apiaceae) family and is grown for its aromatic thread like edible leaves and warm and pungent seeds. Dill contains two essential oils, limonene and carvone, from which the leaves and seeds get their slightly bitter, pungent flavor and aroma The Dill weed is more delicately flavored than the seed from the same plant.
