Description:
Chervil is a small, low-growing annual herbaceous plant that is a a member of the Apiaceae (Umbilliferae) family, but much more aromatic than parsley. It is a hardy plant having large spreading bright green leaves and tufts of sweet-smelling white flowers. Chervil is is an aromatic and fragrant plant and its flavor is subtle and slightly sweet, similar to anise or liquorice. Chervil leaf is full of vitamin C, carotene and other minerals.

Culinary Uses:
Chervil Leaf adds flavorful addition to sauces, salads and dressings, soups, pasta, egg, vegetable, grain dishes, poultry, and seafood. Chervil's flavor dissipates once heated, so you'll want to add it near the end of cooking.

Medicinal Uses:
Chervil is a blood cleanser and effective rheumatism and kidney treatment. An infusion of chervil leaves stimulates digestion and relieves disorders of the circulation, liver and catarrh. When brewed as a tea it can be used as a soothing eye wash.
