Description:
Cedar is an aromatic evergreen tree, belonging to the Cypressaceae family. It has been a prised wood since the times of the Egyptians for its aroma. American Red Cedar is used in the preparation of insecticides and also in making liniments and other medicinal preparations. It is used generally in perfumery and can be added to perfumed soaps, sachets, potpourri, smudge sticks, and incenses. Cedar chips are used and burnt in rituals, and the smoke purifies the home. The scent is said to enhance psychic powers.
