Description:
Blackberry is a deciduous shrub, belonging to the Rosaceae family. It has stalked leaves with three to five oval serrate leaflets that have a medicinal value. The leaves contain tannins, organic acids, sugars and vitamin C.

Culinary Uses:
To make a tea, steep 1 teaspoon of dried Blackberry Leaves in 1 cup of boiling water.

Medicinal Uses:
An infusion of the Blackberry Leaves is good to treat diarrhea and bleeding wounds, A tea made of Blackberry Leaf is good for flu, colds, coughs, and mild sore throat.

Precautions and Adverse Reactions:
Blackberry Leaf not recommended for long-term use.and should be used during pregnancy or while nursing. Persons with hyperthyroidism should avoid using Blackberry Leaf.
