Culinary Uses: Recipies asking for hot chile peppers can be made less hot by substituting sweet red pepper. Dehydrated Red Bell Peppers can be added to soups, stews, meat dishes, marinades, sauces, dips, and salads. Rehydrate them before adding to dishes in which they won't be soaking in liquid. To rehydrate Dehydrated Red Bell Peppers, soak one part peppers in two parts cold water for an hour. To substitute for fresh peppers in a recipe, use 1 tablespoon dried diced bell pepper for 3 tablespoons fresh chopped bell pepper.
