Description:
Barberry is a small and bushy evergreen shrub belonging to the Berberidaceae family. The root bark contains chemicals called isoquinoline alkaloids, which are the main active ingredients of Barberry. The bark of the root is the most active and a source of vitamin C.

Precautions and Adverse Reactions:
Barberry root bark should not be used during pregnancy. Those who suffer from hyperthyroid conditions should not take Barberry.
