Culinary Uses: Agrimony herb can be used in the preparation of a pleasant tasting tea. To make a tea, steep 1 to 2 teaspoons of Agrimony Herb in 1 cup of boiling water.
Medicinal Uses: Agrimoy is used as an astringent, diuretic, tissue healer, and stops bleeding. The herb is good specifically for the stomach, liver and kidneys and problems with the spleen and the gallbladder. It is also used in treating ulcers, diarrhea, and skin problems. Agrimony tea has been used as a gargle for inflammations of mouth and throat. Externally, Agrimony can be used for athlete's foot, sores, slow-healing wounds, and insect bites.
Precautions and Adverse Reactions: Agrimony should be avoided during pregnancy and lactation. The intake of large quantities could lead to digestive complaints and constipation.
